When clients shop for a new house, they usually begin by looking at characteristics that fulfill a specific requirement. 4 bedrooms, a completed basement, a silent street, etc. But sometimes there is something special about a house that grabs a client’s eye that can very well tip the scales toward your house.
Just think about it. How often have you heard someone buying a house and then say something such as, “Wow, the game room is terrific!” Or, “The golf course is just near by!” Or, “There’s a awesome school just 4 blocks away.” So when you list your house on the market, think about the unique features that might get a similar reaction from clients.
Say, you might have a view out your living room window, that’s great.
There might be a community playground that is exceptionally well-equipped and clean. Your house might be located near a local sporting facility, which is handy for families who have children who are into sports.
So when you make your list of features, highlight those that are great and make sure potential clients are well informed. It might be the one feature that will encourage a client to make an offer.
