Increasing Foyer Appeal
You heard about curb appeal. It refers to the excellent impression that buyers tend to get when they see ” from the curb ” first. The higher your curb appeal, the more attractive your house appears.
But you may not be acquainted with another type of appeal: the Foyer appeal. That is the impression buyers get when they first walk in the door.
Think of what happens when for the first time, someone visits your house. Possibilities are, they stand in the foyer for a few moments, look around, and take in the view of your house from that point of view.
That is why, if you are preparing your property for sale, it is very important to make the foyer look as attractive as possible and inviting.
Of course, you want to make sure it’s clean and untidy. You don’t want your potential buyers to travel over shoes or see an overfilled coat closet.
You can buy a new welcome mat. Or if you have one, make sure that it’s clean and fit.
And lastly, make sure that the rooms that can be seen from the foyer look attractive.
You want to make the impression, ” Wow. I can not wait and excited to see the rest of the house! “
