Goal Setting Tips from the Motivational Masters
This is generally the time of year when individuals make resolutions for the next year. However, the majority of individuals who establish objectives – particularly New Year’s resolutions – never accomplish them.
How do you overcome adversity? The following is a summary of the most common expert advice.
Tony Robbins advises, “Decide what you’re completely dedicated to attaining, take huge action, and pay attention to what works and what doesn’t.” Then, alter your method until you attain your goal.”
“Write your objectives down in detail and read them every day,” advises Jack Canfield, co-author of the Chicken Soup For The Soul series. Then consider what you can do today to go closer to accomplishing one of your objectives.
When you’re disheartened, motivational expert Zig Ziglar reminds you of this simple truth: “You accomplish more when you think positively than when you think negatively.”
And, although the majority of writers are not superstars, social scientists who research goal success advocate focusing on no more than five goals at a time and balancing performance objectives such as “Lose 10 pounds” with learning goals such as “Learn how to prepare five new healthy meals.”
Therefore, choose a goal and work toward it. This year is yours!
