Dealing With A Home Inspection Issue

Dealing With A Home Inspection Issue

A home inspection is, as you may know, usually included as a condition before your offer. It protects you from problems you might not see during a visit.

What do you do if you find something wrong with the home inspector? The inspector may find a leak in the base or old, drafted and replaced windows.

Do you have to pass on a property you would like otherwise?

Not necessarily. Just because the home inspector found a shortcoming doesn’t necessarily mean you shouldn’t buy the home. However, you should raise the problem with the seller.

Your REALTOR ® will take care of your interests on your behalf.

Your REALTOR ® can negotiate an agreement that is satisfactory to all concerned in many circumstances.

So don’t worry if the inspector finds something wrong. Chances are you can still get the home and have any issues dealt with to your satisfaction.
